Oct 17, 2013 · I’m aware that the information criterions have nothing to do with significance, even so I’ m still afraid that I’m missing something regarding AIC/BIC. Bengt O. Muthen posted on Monday, October 21, 2013 5:01 pm

Mplus Discussion >> Evaluation of model fit

Mar 27, 2013 · In fact, when I calculate BIC using 2*logL + p*log(n), I don't get the same results as the one produced by Mplus. However the AIC I get is the same as the one produced by Mplus. Is BIC calculated differently in mixture modeling? Thanks, 'Alim Bengt O. Muthen posted on Friday, December 09, 2016 9:25 am

Path AnalysisExample Mplus (output excerpts)

Mplus (output excerpts) Note: I use the bootstrap approach here for testing the indirect effect. The nonbiascorrected bootstrap approach will generally produce preferable confidence limits and standard errors for the indirect effect test (Fritz, Taylor, & MacKinnon, 2012). Using Mplus to Estimate a Confirmatory Factor Analysis Model
https://tutorials.methodsconsultants.com/posts/cfainmplus/
Jun 25, 2019 · Mplus will by default use standard maximum likelihood estimation (specifically, Full Information Maximum Likelihood, or FIML, which is robust to data that have values missing at random). The default is also to report the conventional chisquare test and maximum likelihood standard errors.

These are the AIC and BIC values, see the AIC and BIC values from the estat ic command in Stata. These are the coefficients for the poisson model expressing the relationship between x1 x3 and u1, the same as those from the Stata poisson command. This is the intercept for the poisson model, the same as that from the Stata poisson command.

These are the AIC and BIC values, see the AIC and BIC values from the estat ic command in Stata. A logit model can incorporate either an intercept or a threshold in the model. Mplus uses a threshold (which Stata uses for ordinal models and calls them cutpoints).

What should the missing value be in Mplus?
https://tutorials.methodsconsultants.com/posts/cfainmplus/
The choice of numeric value for missing is up to the user who prepares the data. Mplus will by default use standard maximum likelihood estimation (specifically, Full Information Maximum Likelihood, or FIML, which is robust to data that have values missing at random).

How to set up code for CFA Mplus?
https://tutorials.methodsconsultants.com/posts/cfainmplus/
CFA Mplus. This page describes how to set up code in Mplus to fit a confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) model. The model, which consists of two latent variables and eight manifest variables, is described here. Mplus only reads data in text format, see this post for details on how to prepare a data file for Mplus.

How do you get a model fit in Mplus?
http://www.statmodel.com/discussion/messages/12/27.html
This is obtained in Mplus by having no statements in the MODEL command. Another choice is a model with free means, variances, and covariances on the between level and free variances on the within level. This is obtained in Mplus by using WITH statements on the between level to free the covariances.
